Karen & Paul had spent the last few years bringing their very tired bungalow bang up to date with a very modern look and feel. The kitchen and utility were the last areas to be completed. Although Karen wanted very clean uncluttered lines she did not want to go full handle less, she was also keen to avoid wall cabinets if at all possible to keep the room light and airy and the walls free to be decorated with splashes of colour.
Other than the sink and dishwasher, deep drawers were utilized throughout the kitchen to maximise storage and make accessibility to her cookware as easy as possible. The cabinet height was set to match the window sill to allow the worktop to extend into the window. This makes the most of the available space around the sink (which can get cluttered) and looks fabulous too!
