David and Diane, like many of our customers wanted to open their existing kitchen into a more open plan kitchen/diner with the “working area” layout remaining roughly the same but tweaking to modernise and revamp their previous cabinetry. After a quick search of local kitchen suppliers, they came to us to help bring their dream to reality and add some of our creative spark to the design, as well as having the means to provide a ‘one stop’ fully managed installation including the building works required to remove the wall and all the ancillary plumbing, electrical and flooring work.
Simplicity was key, so the painted Marlborough Scots Grey was chosen for its resilience, brightness, and charm. When matched with the solid wood worktops, the character exploded, and this was a combination to be proud of.
To make this a forever kitchen we needed to future proof it, by adding the corner Le Mans pull-out mechanisms, this meant that there would be no more struggling to get the pans out from the bottom corners of cupboards. Add that to the tall Space-Tower larder and eye level built-in ovens, this should make it easily accessible for years to come.
The finishing touches of tiling above the worktop, the stone effect flooring in the kitchen and the wood flooring into the dining area really added to the class of this cosy, classic kitchen.
